First Methodist Cemetery

near the Village of Goehner, Seward County, Nebraska

First Methodist Cemetery is located 3-1/2 miles east of the village of Goehner, in Section 13, Precinct K, Seward County, Nebraska.
Status: Abandoned.
History: The First Methodist Cemetery is the earliest cemetery for the First Methodist Church. First it had a sod church, then a small wooden church, which is now part of the present-day Salem United Methodist Church (photo © February 2005 Joan Kennel). The newer cemetery, the Salem Methodist Cemetery, is about 2 miles south and 1/2 mile west of this older church and cemetery site. --Joan.
